Desde 1988, Estados Unidos celebra el Mes Nacional de la Herencia Hispana. La celebraci贸n va del 15 de septiembre al 15 de octubre, y conmemora las historias, culturas y contribuciones de los ciudadanos estadounidenses cuyos antepasados provienen de Espa帽a, M茅xico, el Caribe y Am茅rica Central y del Sur.
El tema de este a帽o es "Pioneros del Cambio: Formando el Futuro Juntos."
El d铆a 15 de septiembre es especialmente significativo porque marca el aniversario de la independencia de Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras y Nicaragua. Adem谩s, M茅xico y Chile celebran sus d铆as de independencia el 16 y el 18 de septiembre, respectivamente.
Since 1988, National Hispanic Heritage Month is observed from September 15 to October 15, and it celebrates the histories, cultures and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America.
This year鈥檚 theme is Pioneers of Change: Shaping the Future Together.
The day of September 15 is significant because it is the anniversary of independence for Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua. Additionally, Mexico and Chile celebrate their independence days on September 16 and September 18.

Another way to join the fun is to into the 2024 鈥淛oin the Fiesta!鈥 Spanish Heritage Talent Show. This districtwide contest is open to all students, parents, and staff, and includes art, dancing, singing and music. Deadline for submissions is September 30th at 6 pm.
