ÏòÈÕ¿ûÊÓÆµ ISD Pre-K3

ÏòÈÕ¿ûÊÓÆµ ISD offers Pre-K3 to children who will turn three (3) years old before September 1st of the school year they would like to apply. Two options are available: free Pre-K3 for eligible students, and tuition-based Pre-K3. 


Required Application Documents

To complete your Pre-K application and process eligibility, please bring the following physical documents or legible copies:

Documents Required for Registration:

  • ✔ Child’s Birth Certificate
  • ✔ Child’s Immunization Record
  • ✔ Child’s Social Security (optional)
  • ✔ Parent/Guardian Photo ID
  • ✔ Proof of Address (dated within 45 days)
    • Electric/Gas bill
    • Water bill
  • Lease/Mortgage/Deed agreement

Documents Needed to Determine Pre-K Eligibility—Read carefully

(Bring documents that apply to your family situation)
Income-Based Eligibility (REQUIRED FOR ALL Pre-K students). Provide one of the following:

  • SNAP or TANF Benefits Letter (current)

OR

  • Pay Stubs (within the last 30 days):
  • Paid weekly → 4 consecutive pay stubs
  • Paid bi-weekly → 3 consecutive pay stubs
  • Paid twice monthly → 2 consecutive pay stubs
  • Paid monthly → 1 pay stub

OR

  • Most recent Tax Return (only if self-employed)

Other documentation needed (if applicable): 

  • Military â†’ DoD ID or Active Duty Military Orders or Service-Connected Disability Letter (if applicable)
  • Foster Care â†’ Pre-K Eligibility Letter OR CPS documentation (2085 form or official letter)
  • Star of Texas Award â†’ Official Award Letter
  • AISD Classroom Teacher Eligibility â†’ AISD Badge, Employee ID, or District Email Verification

Important Reminder

Families must submit all required documents (upload or provide to the campus) for eligibility review. Eligibility may be determined on site if documents are provided at the event. On-site offers are only for eligible Pre-K4 students applying to their Home ÏòÈÕ¿ûÊÓÆµ. Incomplete documents may delay eligibility.


FREE pre-k3 ELIGIBILITY Criteria

The student must be three (3) years of age on or by September 1st of the school year seeking to enroll, and:

  1. limited in the ability to speak and/or comprehend the English language, or
  2. eligible for free or reduced lunch based on the family’s income; or
  3. homeless, as defined by 42 U.S.C. Section 1143a; or
  4. the child of an active duty member of the armed forces of the United States, including the state military forces or a reserve component of the armed forces, who is ordered to active duty by proper authority; or the child of a member of the armed forces of the United States, including the state military forces or a reserve component of the armed forces, who was injured or killed while serving on active duty; or
  5. has been in the conservatorship of the Department of Family and Protective Services following an adversary hearing held as provided by Section 262.201, Family Code.
  6. the child of a person eligible for the Star of Texas Award as:
    • peace officer under Section 3106.002, Government Code;
    • a firefighter under Section 3106.003, Government Code; or
    • an emergency medical first responder under Section 3106.004, Government Code.
    • A child eligible for enrollment under item 4 or 5 above remains eligible if the child’s parent leaves the armed forces or is no longer on active duty after the child begins prekindergarten.
