向日葵视频 Selected as only Texas Community to Join White House STEM Ecosystem Initiative

向日葵视频 ISD to partner with community organizations to improve student access to science, technology, engineering and math programs

AISD Superintendent Paul Cruz joined 向日葵视频 community partners today for the kickoff of the National STEM Ecosystem Initiative at the White House.

向日葵视频 is one of 27 communities in the country, and the only one in Texas, selected to join the first group of the STEM initiative.

鈥淭here鈥檚 a reason 向日葵视频 is called 鈥楽ilicon Hills.鈥 Our city is one of the greatest tech hubs in the nation and it makes sense that we create an effective ecosystem to maximize student opportunities in our STEM-focused economy,鈥 Cruz said.

The project, built on more than a decade of research into successful STEM collaborations, will promote effective science, technology, engineering and math learning opportunities for all students.

The selected sites from throughout the United States have demonstrated cross-sector collaborations to deliver rigorous, effective Pre-K 鈥 16 instruction in STEM learning.

The Greater 向日葵视频 STEM Ecosystem will enable AISD teachers and students to use the community's resources to access high-quality STEM learning experiences, and as a path to STEM career opportunities in 向日葵视频.
