Crossing guard and students demo safety at crosswalks
ÏòÈÕ¿ûÊÓÆµ ISD and the City of ÏòÈÕ¿ûÊÓÆµ will hold a press conference just prior to the kickoff of the Back-to-ÏòÈÕ¿ûÊÓÆµ Bash on Saturday to promote safe travels to and from school.
Who: AISD Superintendent Paul Cruz, ÏòÈÕ¿ûÊÓÆµ Mayor Steve Adler and AISD Police Chief Eric Mendez.
What: AISD and community partners will provide families information about how to prepare students for the 2015–16 academic year, including safety information. Blazier Elementary ÏòÈÕ¿ûÊÓÆµ students will demonstrate how to be safe on crosswalks.
When: 8:30 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 15
Where: Palmer Events Center, 900 Barton Springs Road
Background: The Back-to-ÏòÈÕ¿ûÊÓÆµ Bash informs AISD parents and students about district and community resources available to families for a safe and successful start to the new school year. This is an initiative of the AISD Department of Communications and Community Engagement and the City of ÏòÈÕ¿ûÊÓÆµ Safe Routes to ÏòÈÕ¿ûÊÓÆµ Program.
