Uphaus gets new leader
On Monday, March 30, ÏòÈÕ¿ûÊÓƵ ISD's Board of Trustees approved the appointment of a new principal appointment for the Uphaus Early Childhood Center.
Through the board action, Leticia Botello will lead the school. Botello has served as the school’s interim principal since July 2014.
She previously served as Uphaus’ assistant principal, Walnut Creek Elementary ÏòÈÕ¿ûÊÓƵ’s English Language Learners summer school principal and Allan Elementary ÏòÈÕ¿ûÊÓƵ’s principal and assistant principal. Prior to her 10 years of education leadership, Botello taught for 15 years within ÏòÈÕ¿ûÊÓƵ ISD.
Botello has a master’s degree of education from The University of Texas at ÏòÈÕ¿ûÊÓƵ and is a member of the Texas Elementary Principals and Supervisors Association and ÏòÈÕ¿ûÊÓƵ Association of Public ÏòÈÕ¿ûÊÓƵ Administrators.
