Crockett High ÏòÈÕ¿ûÊÓÆµ Student Invited to U.S. National High ÏòÈÕ¿ûÊÓÆµ Mathematics Championship

ÏòÈÕ¿ûÊÓÆµ, TX—Although Benjamin Henderson will earn his diploma from Crockett High ÏòÈÕ¿ûÊÓÆµ next week, he will continue to represent the school and ÏòÈÕ¿ûÊÓÆµ Independent ÏòÈÕ¿ûÊÓÆµ District. The American Society for Mathematics has invited him to compete in the U.S. National High ÏòÈÕ¿ûÊÓÆµ Mathematics Championship in Oklahoma City.

Henderson earned a top score on the Problem Solving Challenge Examination, which qualified him for the national competition. During high school, Henderson was actively involved in the University Interscholastic League Academics program, orchestra and tennis.

"We are thrilled Benjamin has a wonderful opportunity to compete on a national level," said principal Craig Shapiro, Crockett High ÏòÈÕ¿ûÊÓÆµ, recently named National outstanding high school and Texas Urban High ÏòÈÕ¿ûÊÓÆµ of the Year. "It is a tremendous honor as a principal to watch your students achieve great accomplishments. We wish Benjamin the best during the championship."

The U.S. National High ÏòÈÕ¿ûÊÓÆµ Mathematics Championship is June 30 to July 1.
