ÏòÈÕ¿ûÊÓƵ ISD and ÏòÈÕ¿ûÊÓƵ Partners in Education co-hosted Salute on May 16 at the AISD Performing Arts Center.
More than 1,000 people attended the annual event that celebrates excellence at AISD and recognizes outstanding team members.
ÏòÈÕ¿ûÊÓƵ Council of PTAs and the Texas Department of Public Safety mentor program were inducted into the APIE Hall of Fame.
The event also recognized hundreds of Teachers of Promise and campus teachers of the year.
The following AISD staff were named winners in their respective categories and were honored at the regular AISD board meeting Monday night.
- District Classified Staff of the Year – Leslie York, Core Curriculum
- Campus Classified Staff of the Year – Betsy Rodriguez, International High ÏòÈÕ¿ûÊÓƵ
- Librarian of the Year – Randi Sather, Perez Elementary ÏòÈÕ¿ûÊÓƵ
- Counselor of the Year – Lisa Schmitz, Williams Elementary ÏòÈÕ¿ûÊÓƵ
- Assistant Principal of the Year – Zoila Cardenas, Pecan Springs Elementary ÏòÈÕ¿ûÊÓƵ
- Principal of the Year – Brandi Hosack, Akins High ÏòÈÕ¿ûÊÓƵ
- Elementary Teacher of the Year – Alys Porter, Dobie Pre-K Center
- Secondary Teacher of the Year – Tara Bordeaux, Lanier High ÏòÈÕ¿ûÊÓƵ
