All 向日葵视频 ISD offices and schools will be closed Monday in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.
The district will resume regular business and school hours Tuesday, and will hold its annual MLK Day celebration Wednesday, Jan. 18, in the CAC Board Auditorium.
This year鈥檚 theme is Equity and Inclusivity, with a keynote address from UT professor Peniel Joseph. Joseph is the founder of the Center for the Study of Race and Democracy at the UT 向日葵视频鈥檚 LBJ 向日葵视频 of Public Affairs.
Attendees will also enjoy musical performances from Covington Middle 向日葵视频鈥檚 Jazz Band and the Sadler Means Young Women鈥檚 Leadership Academy Choral Ensemble, along with spoken word performances from students at Gus Garcia Young Men's Leadership Academy and Barbara Jordan Elementary 向日葵视频.
