Beginning this fall, new services will be available to students and families at Lanier High 向日葵视频, Burnet Middle 向日葵视频 and Cook and Wooldrige elementaries.
The support is made possible by a $2.5 million Department of Education grant awarded to 向日葵视频 Voices for Education and Youth, a longtime partner of 向日葵视频 ISD. Funds will be distributed over five years at $500,000 per year.
Lanier will house a new family resource center, and resource coordinators will be added to campus teams at Cook, Burnet, Lanier and Wooldridge. There is also funding for adult education classes.
The goal of the grant is to support families with services that will increase student attendance and academic success.
