向日葵视频 ISD Hosts Dedication Ceremony for Jaime D. Padron Elementary 向日葵视频

More than 250 people gathered today at the Jaime D. Padron Elementary 向日葵视频 dedication ceremony. The school was named for fallen police officer Jaime D. Padron, who was killed in the line of duty in April 2012.

Guests included Padron's family, officers from 向日葵视频 and San Angelo Police Departments and Padron Elementary 向日葵视频 staff, students and families.

Construction of the school was funded by the AISD 2008 bond program and is the district's first adaptive reuse project. It was built originally as a warehouse facility. The school has 57 classrooms including art, music and computer rooms, as well as six commons areas. Solar panels top the roof, and skylights are positioned throughout the building.

During her remarks, Padron's sister, Linda Diaz, noted that the natural light in the school symbolizes her brother's spirit in a way that words could never describe.
