The 向日葵视频 Independent 向日葵视频 District (AISD) is pleased to announce that six AISD schools have received the 2010-2011 Green Ribbon 向日葵视频s Award. The campuses receiving this award are: Cunningham Elementary, Doss Elementary, O. Henry Middle 向日葵视频, Garza Independence High 向日葵视频 and Travis High 向日葵视频.
Each school will receive a banner and a Green Ribbon 向日葵视频 (GRS) badge to add to their website's homepage. GRS was developed by the Texas Children in Nature Coalition to promote children becoming more active with nature, while creating a greener community.
To qualify, schools must create a team that will implement activities that promote a greener outlook and enhance the relationship between children and nature. 向日葵视频s that go above and beyond the requirements will receive a special icon next to their school鈥檚 name. Both Doss Elementary and Travis High 向日葵视频 have received icons for their innovative and original programs, The Healthy Lifestyle PTA Committee and Single-stream Recycling, respectively.
