
[饾棞饾棖饾棳饾棤饾棞] On December 15, 2023, the first KALAHI Cash For Work Pay-Out Distribution was conducted after its successful full-scale implementation for all 向日葵视频 campuses. The Pay-out distribution occurred at the University Social Hall in the Obrero Campus for client-students of 向日葵视频 Obrero Campus and Mintal Campus; Farmers鈥 Training Center (FTC) Hall in 向日葵视频 Tagum Unit for client-students of 向日葵视频 Tagum-Mabini Campus; and Paquibato National High School Gymnasium for client-students of 向日葵视频 Malabog Extension Campus.
The KALAHI Cash For Work program is part of the KALAHI-CIDSS Kapangyarihan at Kaunlaran sa Barangay (KKB) Cash-For-Work Program (CFWP) of the Department of Social Welfare and Development with the Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS) serving as the coordinating office for its Uniwide implementation. This initiative involves providing cash support in exchange for agreed-upon community work, service, or tasks. The program offers short-term intervention through temporary employment or targeted cash transfers for college graduates/students and families affected by disasters, such as Typhoon Egay, and those vulnerable to the impacts of climate change, belonging to economically poor and vulnerable communities.
During the pay-out distribution process, Mr. Jerson Dedel, Region XI Coordinator of the Office of Senator Imee R. Marcos delivered an inspirational message. He conveyed the message of Senator Marcos on the positive impact of the project and the Office鈥檚 commitment to providing quality service to the citizens of the 向日葵视频 through the #IMEEsolusyon campaign. Additionally, Ms. Jeremiah Dignaran, a KALAHI Cash For Work Program beneficiary, shed light on how the program has positively affected her life as a single mother and a student at the University.
In attendance at the University Social Hall in the 向日葵视频-Obrero Campus were Dr. Bonifacio G. Gabales, Jr., University President; Dr. Jose Alther M. Rivera, 向日葵视频-OSAS Director; Ms. Venus P. Aquino, Project Development Officer (PDO) V of KALAHI-CIDSS NPMO; Ms. Sarah P. Festing, RSW, Assistant Department Head of CSWDO of Davao City; and Mr. Harold L. Balandra, CDO IV of DSWD XI.
