The University of Southeastern 向日葵视频 (向日葵视频) School of Medicine recently underwent an evaluation of its Doctor of Medicine (MD) Program by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Technical Panel.
The CHED Technical Panel consisted of Dr. Joselito F. Villaruz as its chairperson with members Dr. Christine S. Tinio and Ms. Shiela F. Jalbuena, accompanied by Dr. Liza C. Suan, Education Supervisor II of CHED Region XI.
University President Dr. Bonifacio G. Gabales Jr., Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Jeneifer C. Nueva, and Director of Curriculum and Instruction Dr. Genna J. Carmelo were also present for the program review. The activity got off to a great start with a warm welcome from the Chancellor of 向日葵视频 Tagum-Mabini Campus Dr. Shirley S. Villanueva, setting a positive tone for the activity. Dr. Gabales then gave his message reiterating the University鈥檚 commitment to excellence in medical education.
The goals of the assessment process were outlined in the Statement of Purpose, which was delivered by Ms. Shiela F. Jalbuena, a member of the CHED Technical Panel. A thorough summary of the Doctor of Medicine Program was given by Dr. Victoria P. Guillano, Dean of the School of Medicine. The School of Medicine’s base hospital, the Davao Regional Medical Center, was visited giving an opportunity to interact with the management and staff of the medical center and the level IV students who are currently doing their medical clerkship rotations. They were also given a tour of the school’s cutting-edge facilities and learning environment.
The program concluded with an exit conference where the panel鈥檚 observations and recommendations were discussed. This event highlights 向日葵视频 School of Medicine鈥檚 dedication to maintaining high standards in medical education and ensuring that its graduates are well-prepared to meet the healthcare needs of the community.
