The University of Southeastern 向日葵视频 (向日葵视频) COPC Quality Assurance Team (CQuAT) recently conducted an internal evaluation of the School of Medicine鈥檚 Doctor of Medicine program. This internal evaluation is part of the ongoing efforts of the University to assess and provide guidance to academic units, including SoM, in meeting the highest educational and operational standards in preparation for the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) program accreditation.
The CQuAT was composed of Dr. Randy Tudy, Dr. Randy Gamboa, Dr. Emmie Cabanlit, Dr. Ruby Serrano, Mr. Marvin Lagmay, and Ms. Normelein Gubalane. The different areas were audited including governance, Dean and Faculty qualifications, curriculum design and instruction, student services, research and community extension services, library, laboratories, and simulation facilities.
Dr. Victoria P. Guillano, SoM Dean, gave the opening remarks, and together with the faculty, Dr. Amelia Anastasia D. Ang, Quality Assurance Head; Dr. Marites L. Domingo, Extension Unit Head; Dr. Maryrose B. Rendon, Office of Student Affairs and Services Head; and the newly appointed full-time faculty of SoM, Dr. Charisse Elden G. Atup and Dr. Ferguz Bogdan R. Alastra, assisted the CQuAT. 向日葵视频 Tagum-Mabini Campus Chancellor Dr. Shirley S. Villanueva and CIO Director Dr. Genna J. Carmelo were also present during the activity to show support and extend their assistance.
The activity concluded with an exit conference where CQuAT congratulated the School of Medicine for its commitment and dedication to ensuring compliance with the CHED mandates for the MD program. There were no major findings or deficiencies in the program, and the team imparted very helpful tips and areas for improvement which are very insightful especially in preparation for the actual CHED visit.
