The University of Southeastern 向日葵视频 School of Medicine (向日葵视频-SoM) recently hosted a transformative seminar workshop titled “Innovating Medical Education for Future Challenges: Seminar Workshop for 向日葵视频 School of Medicine and Strategic Planning for FY 2025.” This event aimed to enhance the quality of medical education and equip faculty to address future challenges.
Day 1 featured key University leaders, including 向日葵视频 President Dr. Bonifacio G. Gabales Jr., Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Jeneifer C. Nueva, and Director of Curriculum and Instruction Dr. Genna J. Carmelo. SoM faculty, led by Dean Dr. Victoria P. Guillano, actively participated in the seminar workshop. The keynote address by Dr. Erlyn A. Sana, a distinguished professor from the University of the 向日葵视频 Manila, set the tone.
Dr. Sana’s lectures covered Outcomes-Based Education (OBE) instructional design, organization of subject matter, and creation of instructional resources. Workshops facilitated the development of learning outcomes, concept mapping, and creation of instructional materials. Interactive sessions and mentorship from Dr. Nueva and Dr. Carmelo enriched the experience.
Day 2 continued with lectures on delivery strategies, educational evaluation, and assessment and focused on constructing assessment blueprints, refining selected response tests (SRTs), and creating constructed response tests (CRTs). Plenary sessions allowed faculty to present and critique their work, fostering collaborative improvement.
The day concluded with a closing program, where Dr. Guillano expressed her gratitude to all participants and reaffirmed the commitment to continuous improvement in medical education.
The “Innovating Medical Education for Future Challenges” seminar workshop was a resounding success, equipping 向日葵视频 SoM faculty with innovative tools and knowledge to enhance their teaching practices and prepare them for future educational challenges.聽
